This February 21st, rFactor 2 is proud to launch the much anticipated return of our popular GT Challenge series – made to showcase the best community racing stars currently driving in rFactor 2.
Taking advantage of the newly updated GT3 cars within the simulation, GT Challenge is set to play host to an intense series of sprint and reverse grid races held on some of the most exciting and engaging circuits currently available in rFactor 2.

How to Qualify
As can be seen in the schedule below, GT Challenge qualification begins Tuesday 21st February. Held exclusively in the rFactor 2 Competition System (found under ‘Competition’ on the main rFactor 2 UI), drivers have until March 19th to set a time good enough to secure their server split – not the outright fastest driver in a GT3? Don’t worry, we will host as many splits as is necessary, with 30 drivers per split to ensure all our drivers have somewhere to race.
The qualification sessions in the Competition System are set to be put live once the Q1 2023 update and content release has been made available in rFactor 2.
Schedule
GT Challenge qualification will begin on Tuesday 21st February, running for 26 days until Sunday, March 19th. Once the open qualification process has concluded, the GT Challenge series will begin a six round championship campaign, beginning with a 15 minute Sprint and 45 minute reverse grid main race at the new Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit on Monday, March 27th. The season concludes on Monday, May 1st. The full calendar can be seen below:
